Thanks for taking some time to be interviewed. Can you please introduce your self to our readers and tell us a little bit about what you do?
My names kiddo wreckz Im 23 years old, from Phoenix AZ and I’m a Rapper/musician.
How long have you been rapping and making music?
I started playing guitar and rapping when I was 14, a freshman in high school and I just turned 23 a couple weeks ago.
Nice! Im a guitarist as well. So here is a question ive never had the chance to ask someone before. Whats your favorite brand on guitars? And why?
I can use any brand but I have a top 3 between Gibson, ESP, and Schecter just because I grew up playing and owning all 3.
Very cool. Who gets bragging rights for supporting you and helping you get to where you are now?
My hometown of Phoenix, AZ, my mother and my older brother Soccradz Da Don
What you got planned for the rest of the year? Albums? Music videos?
The Lighthouse EP is doin hella good rn and it just dropped so for now imma let the fans eat that up along with some new music videos and even some new music. But as far as a new project from the kid later this year would probably be a better bet. Once coronas over I plan on sitting down with my booking agent in California and planning a tour late this summer or early fall.
Where do you see your self in 5 years?
A Grammy or two. Living off of my music and just fully supporting my family and day 1’s.
What is your local music scene like? Pros? Cons?
Pros being that people are hella embracing now that they see I’ve been grinding since I was a teenager. Cons being it’s just too competitive between local artists which is why I don’t get caught up in the city hype nor the “clout factor”. I could care less who everybody’s top 5 is….in the end I know I make good quality music that people enjoy.
If you could go on tour with anyone in the world who would you choose. What is your dream tour?
My ultimate dream tour is honestly just me headlining my own like 20-30 city tour one day like big artist do. But starting out now I would love to go on tour with 6LACK, Bryson tiller, K camp, Tory Lanez, or Kehlani.
Where is the best place for people to check out your music?
Anywhere you can find your favorite artist Apple Music, Spotify, Tidal, YouTube etc…
What are your thoughts on the BLK movement against police brutality?
I think the movement is stronger than its ever been, and we are genuinely effecting change on our society the more we speak up, and the more we stand together. It’s a wild ride but a beautiful outcome in the same way.
If you could sit down with a racist cop and speak your mind without repercussions, what would your message to him or her be?
Try and see things from our point of view. I wouldn’t get violent or anything I would just try and get them to understand that….that’s not the way and it effects a whole nation of people that are always willing to fight back. When’s the last time you’ve seen all 50 states come together to do ANYTHING?…..my point exactly. We stand strong.
What are your views on the rioting and looting? Do you think it helps or hurts the cause?
It hurts our cause. Looting our own communities doesn’t help prove our point. It only helps push the narrative that we’re criminals. Which we are not. We’re simply humans fighting for equality and wish to be heard like others.
Is there anything else you woud like to add as we wrap this up?
Peace, love, and condolences to all those lost in our fight against inequality and police brutality. Love one another. Stay prosperous. Stay safe. Love y’all….s/o clout culture mag
