New Song Released by Gucci Mane has heads turning.
Gucci Mane’s new song, Dissin’ The Dead, shows a change in his mindset that fans were not expecting him to show, which shows remorse.
Here is some background: in 2005 Gucci was charged with Pookie Loc’s murder but due to lack of evidence it was dropped. Why is this important? Because in 2014, Gucci Mane released a song that talked about having a ghost in his house and that it was Pookie Loc. It’s understanding why his fans would be upset with him now for making a such a statement and he was called a hypocrite for it.
After spending 2 years in prison he had a lot of time to think about what had happened. Recently, he expressed remorse and even understanding that he had hurt Pookie Loc’s family. The lyrics in his new song read as :
“I feel like I started a trend that’s never gon’ stop
They gon’ keep dissing the dead
None of this shit no pretend”

He realized his words had hurt people and he has expressed a strong dislike for artists that show such disrespect.
